Friday, 5 September at 8:00 PM to late (music 9:30ish): Gigantic Brewing Company and Cider Riot! team up to present Victoria's own McGillicuddys at the Canoe Brewpub on Friday, September 5th. Sample special beers from Gigantic and Canoe, and special ciders from Cider Riot! and pogo and jig to the McGillicuddys Celtic Punk after the Great Canadian Beer Festival - it's bound to be a great time. It's gonna be a get together for old drinking buddys: McGillicuddys managed to convince Ben Gigantic to make us their official Celtic Punk band, and Abe Cider Riot! and McGs have been joined at the... liver(?) for more years than we care to mention. No cover!

Saturday, 30 August at 10 PM, 4th annual Timbers Army invades BC with the McGillicuddys (friends and Southsiders welcome). Whether the Portland Timbers win lose or draw we'll be having a laugh afterwards at the Railway Club with the McGillicuddys, and Cider Riot! Everybody Pogo on tap. Come for the Celtic punk, cider, sing-alongs and footy chants but stay because those stairs look pretty intimidating after you've had a whole footy match AND a psycho ceilidh's worth of drink! Doors: 8:30. Admission: $5/Free with 107ist card.

McGillicuddys perform at 1 PM in the Celtic Music Tent.

During the Victoria Highland Games be sure to check out the Celtic Music Festival Tent for an incredible line up of Celtic Bands. Located next to the Rampant Lion Pub on the middle field, this tent will be rocking with Celtic fiddles, guitars, drums, accordions, great vocals and more. The Celtic Music Tent is open from 10 -6, both Saturday and Sunday for all ages. Dancers welcome!

Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18. Gates are open from 8am – 6pm both days.

The Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival is held at Topaz Park located at the corner of Finlayson Street and Blanshard Street in Victoria.

At the gate admission prices: Adults - $15 for single day admission; 2-day (weekend) admission also available.

Message from Abe:

"About a year ago I got serious about making cider commercially. Now Cider Ri...ot! is up and running and I'd like to thank everyone who helped me along the way, and say cheers. Join me to celebrate the late May release of Cider Riot! Everybody Pogo and Burncider in half-litre glass bottles, taste some special reserve kegs, and pogo the night away to the McGillicuddys from Victoria, BC. The cider will be flowing at Biddys at 7pm, and the music starts round about 9pm. Stay tuned for an exact tap lineup, but expect to see Everybody Pogo, Burncider, Paddy, and maybe even a few sneak previews of some special ciders."

Kick off St. Paddy's weekend with McGillicuddys at the Pacific Fleet Club's St. Paddy's Day event. With theCanadian Scottish pipes and drums and Irish dancers to start things off, and waterfront views and the cheapest alcohol in the city to keep you going. The first 150 people through the door will even receive a Full souvenir Pint Glass (please use carfully!). Tickets are $5.00 which CF members and their guests can pick up at the Fleet Club.

Celebrate Robbie Burns day with the McGillicuddys! With guest piper(s?) Nathan Roberts, the Address to the Haggis and haggis tasting (approx 9 PM), and lots of lovely, lovely beer. If you want a seat or table, you're advised to get there early. Please leave cabers, sgian dubh's, claymores, sheep and hairy coos at home - weaponry (besides the Great Highland Bagpipe) and and live animals are not permitted in the pub! Blue face paint is OK, if you really must. $5 at the door

Saturday October 20, Portland Timbers Army Pre-game Party (Southsiders welcome too!), the night before the big match: Timbers vs. Whitecaps. With Green Flag (Portland Timbers-themed punk from PDX). Expect Celtic punk, guest cask ales, footy chants and some awesome old-school punk rock. If you're not hung over for that match the next day, you're not trying hard enough (you big girl's blouse). New McGillicuddys CD "Sin Lane" OUT NOW!!!

It's been a long time coming, but McGillicuddys' brand new CD, Sin Lane is now officially released. We'll be providing more details about the new disk, so keep your eyes glued to this space. For now, you can check out the complete track list below. Sin Lane is currently available from the band and at gigs, and will be available very soon from the Store page of this site so you can get your very own copy by mail order.

Sin Lane features nine band-new McGillicuddys original songs, Richard Thompson's 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, the Nips' Gabrielle, and The Banks of the Roses (Traditional).
