New Show Just Added
McGillicuddys will be appearing in support of our good mates, the Real McKenzies, on Tuesday, March 21 at Logan's pub in Victoria. This annual meeting of the Celtic debating society will be addressing the burning issue of whether whiskey should be spelled with an "ey" or "y."

St. Patrick's Events
It's Psycho Ceilidh time again, and the band have been rehearsing hard (down the pub most often) and are set to get the party started. This year we'll be celebrating at Logan's Pub in Victoria, and the Cambie in Nanaimo. You can take this as a formal invitation to come on down and join us for some singing, dancing, drinking and general chaos at the new and improved Logan's, and good old Cambie. We'll be doing two long sets of all your favourites, so get there early! See the shows page.

17 March 2006, Logan's Pub, 1821 Cook Street, Victoria BC.

18 March 2006, The Cambie, 63 Victoria Cres. Nanaimo BC.

What the Shite

You can get your very own copy of SHITE N ONIONS v. 2 from us at our upcoming St. Paddy's gigs, or buy online here.

Review
SHITE N ONIONS v. 2-What the Shite/various: Another super sized serving of Irish folk punk that shows it can easily be St. Paddy's Day everyday, especially if you like them best when they end in a drunken brawl. High octane and out of control, this is music to get wild to and you don't have to be Irish.

Some Sad News
In the fall of 2005, the band recorded our version Phil Chevron's classic song Thousands are Sailing for a Pogues compilation to be released by the Belgian label Ghetto Rock. Sady Johan, who ran Ghetto Rock, has passed away and the project is now in limbo. Therefore, we have decided to make the song available as a free MP3 from this site. The McGillicuddys would like to send our sympathies to Johan's family and friends. Rest in peace.
